Though the club was formed back in 2005 it was not until 2014 that we became large enough to become affiliated with the Kennel Club and be recognised as an official breed club dedicated to serving the needs of Irish Wolfhounds and their owners within Scotland in 2014.
We hold an annual Gaitherin’ usually in July, a fun-filled day which includes human and hound games and a very informal companion dog show. It is designed for all members to be able to get together and share our love for our pets.
Our AGM is usually held in March each year to conduct the formal business involved in running the club. All members are welcome to attend.
Informal club walks are usually organised two or three times per year, our most popular venues are Scolty Hill near Banchory in Aberdeenshire or Tentsmuir Beach near Leuchars in Fife. You can find out about these by joining our Facebook group.
