This event is now sadly cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We’re gutted and will try and make it up to you all when social restrictions are lifted.
We will provide some online entertainment for the day in the form a virtual dog show. We will post the classes prior to the day so that you can get your photographs organised. Keep and eye on our Facebook group for updates.
The 2020 Gaitherin’ will be held on Sunday 16th August 2020 and we have an exciting new venue – mark the date in your diary and watch this space.
We are delighted to announce that next years Gaitherin’ will be held at Balnuith Alpaca and Rare Breeds Farm in Tealing, Angus
Owner Alison Wiseman has kindly agreed to let us descend on her smallholding for the day! Alison is renowned for throwing some great parties so we have a lot to live up to!
As a special treat and to try and entice more people from further afield, we have persuaded the Scottish Deerhound Society to hold one of their fantastic lure coursing days on Saturday 15th August. The venue will be Old Wood Farm, near Rait in Perthshire. Which is about 30 minutes by car away from Balnuith Farm.
Please mark the dates in your diary and come along and join us. If you want to come up for a long weekend or week long break, there are loads of lovely walks we can share with you. It’s a beautiful part of the world, and we hope you will come and share it with us.
